Surround yourself with people who share your commitment to cooking.
Le Cordon Bleu students are passionate about cooking, and find the time they spend on campus to be both meaningful and fulfilling. Students attend classes four hours a day, five days a week (Monday through Friday).
Students pursuing associate degrees can expect to spend about 60% of their class time in our kitchen labs, while those pursuing a certificate will spend closer to 100% of their class time in the kitchen. Our students earn 14 credits per semester, which means they are considered full time, but many find time to work while they’re in school.
Life at Le Cordon Bleu: dynamic and engaging
There is always something happening on campus. We host guest lecturers and cooking demonstrations with local, well-known chefs. And everyone looks forward to our student cooking competitions, many of which draw spectators from the community.
Adding to the lively feel on campus, is the Skills Enhancement Class—our version of study hall. It’s not required, but gives students the opportunity to practice a skill or dish they feel needs more work with the assistance of a chef instructor.
Off campus, students have opportunities to work at events, festivals, restaurants, and convention centers where they can practice and refine the skills they’ve been learning.
Life beyond Le Cordon Bleu
For job search assistance and cooking opportunity notices, every student and graduate has lifetime access to Career Services and the Learning Resource Center with its cyber library, computers, and printers, for preparing resumes and letters. Every campus has a quarterly employment fair and other spotlight employer events where companies come to campus to interview students and speak about cooking opportunities at their companies.
Call your local campus and arrange for a tour, or come to an Open House event. We host a new event almost every month. You’ll see the professional grade kitchens, get a feeling for the atmosphere on campus and have the chance to speak with Admissions about what you need to do to take your love for cooking to the next level.
