Baking classes can help eliminate some of the confusion though they aren’t a possibility for every cooking and baking enthusiast. Fortunately, there are many other tasty desserts available that require little effort and minimal ingredients. Some are classic recipes that you probably have had or at least heard of before. Others might be a new idea and worth the little bit of effort it takes to whip it together. Here are 5 easy to make desserts that are perfect for the inexperienced or those short on time:

Bananas Foster
This classic dessert is often offered in many fine restaurants and is taught at college of culinary arts baking classes all around the world. However, its simplicity makes it a perfect quick dessert to make anytime. In fact, this delicious dessert can be prepared in less time than it takes to make a good sandwich. Only a few simple ingredients are needed, like bananas, sugar and a couple more. It is a perfect dessert to compliment any lighter meal like chicken or fish.

Banana Cheesecake Pie
This lovely dessert combines the best of two classic desserts. It takes a little longer to prepare, but can still be finished in less than half an hour. The ingredients involved can be counted on almost one hand. All that is needed is: sugar, butter, milk, vanilla wafers, bananas, cheesecake mix, and banana cream pudding mix. For under $5.00 this refreshing dessert will easily provide a family of five a great after dinner treat.

Baked Apples

Baked Apples is a dessert that many have had at one time or another, but it is often overlooked. It is delicious and surprisingly simple. All it takes is apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and raisins. Most people probably already have these ingredients in their pantry. It is so simple and only takes about 30 minutes to prepare. They make a great dessert on an autumn night and go really well after a hearty dinner of steak or pork chops.

This is a terrific light dessert that goes well after a summer dinner and is easy to make without attending college of culinary art classes. There are very few desserts that are simpler to prepare. Its beauty is in its simplicity. The only ingredients needed are berries, sugar, eggs, and cream. Any type of berries can be used depending on your tastes. It is a quick treat that only takes a few minutes to prepare and perfect for the health conscious. 

Chocolate Lover’s Cream Pie

This indulgent dessert is perfect for those with a sweeter tooth. It is rich but light at the same time, so it won’t leave you feeling heavy and guilty afterwards. It only requires about 7 ingredients, most of which are standard household items, and it can be prepared in only 20 minutes.
